This ICON 2003-09 Lexus GX470 0-3.5″ Lift Stage 8 Suspension System Tubular UCA incorporates upper control arms featuring ICON’s patented Delta Joint, an advanced heavy-duty high angle ball joint. The Delta Joint combines the durability of a traditional ball joint with the performance characteristics of a uniball. While conventional uniballs facilitate smooth articulation of a vehicle’s control arms, they possess a vulnerability when used in daily driving due to exposure to the elements. The Delta Joint addresses this concern with a zinc plated housing for initial corrosion resistance and a robust grease seal that safeguards the joint’s internal components from potential damage. Its metal on metal construction and greaseable design enhance its durability and ensure noise-free operation over time. The unique aspect of the Delta Joint lies in its ability to provide the strengths of both a uniball and a traditional ball joint. It offers greater robustness than a standard uniball and permits higher angularity than a typical ball joint.

Included in the Stage 8 system are specialized 2.5 Series Extended Travel coilover shocks meticulously tuned for specific vehicles. These coilovers are equipped with ICON’s CDC (Compression Damping Control) Valve, which allows users to easily adjust compression for optimal ride quality across diverse terrains and under varying vehicle cargo loads. The coilovers also feature a remote reservoir that enhances cooling capabilities, ICON-engineered coil springs for precise vehicle responsiveness through the full travel range, and adjustable height settings providing lifts of up to 3.5″ over stock height. This lift facilitates the use of larger, more aggressive wheel and tire combinations. The coilovers are partnered with tubular steel Delta Joint upper control arms that extend wheel travel and correct geometry for improved wheel alignment accuracy.

The system integrates ICON’s 2″ lift rear coil springs along with 2.5 Omega bypass remote reservoir rear shocks. These components combine vehicle-specific valving, more aggressive bump zones, and adjustable compression and rebound settings, granting users meticulous control over performance and ride quality. ICON’s tubular steel rear upper and lower links outperform the factory OE units, boasting stronger construction and featuring low maintenance multi-durometer bushings. These links can be adjusted to achieve optimal pinion angles. Additionally, the lower links are designed to ensure correct roll steer geometry for superior handling both on and off-road. An adaptable rear track bar is provided to rectify rear end alignment and ensure compatibility with KDSS.
