The Dirt King Toyota Tacoma Prefab Bed Cage stems from our extensive experience in constructing custom bed cages. Drawing on this knowledge, we’ve honed the design to ensure optimal travel capability and straightforward installation. This bed cage efficiently utilizes minimal bed space without compromising strength. Additionally, it features strategically placed accessory mounting holes in the center section, facilitating the attachment of dust lights and flag whips.

The entire kit is easily assembled through bolt connections and seamlessly installs in the factory bed mounting locations. Specifically engineered for use with Deaver leaf under springs, this bed cage surpasses cantilever suspension systems for two key reasons. Firstly, the shock mounts on the bed cage are positioned outside the frame rails, enhancing stability compared to inside-frame rail mounts. Secondly, the shocks are vertically mounted with a motion ratio close to 1:1, ensuring proper damping throughout the suspension travel.

In contrast, cantilever suspensions exhibit higher motion ratios, resulting in smaller shocks that are challenging to valve accurately. Moreover, they tend to heat up faster due to reduced fluid capacity. Opting for the Dirt King Prefab bed cage is a prudent choice for enhancing rear suspension performance without breaking the bank.
